Display artifacts and flicker

Hey, so I have a BenQ XL2720z that started flickering like this past week. I have looked the power supply board for faulty components, but it seems to be operating normally, same goes for main board (at least the capacitors and mosfets looks intact). The lcd panel hasn't suffered any trauma (I treat it like a baby). I then googled for faulty lvds symptoms, and some correspond to what I'm going trough. The thing is, this lcd panel have two cables, and I'm not sure which does what. One of the cables, when I unplug:

half of it: I get a black screen with the aforementioned flickering

the other half of it: I get a blank screen with no flickering (static white screen)

whole cable: backlight on only

Is there a way to test the connectors and/or the cable separately?

I can get pictures if anyone is willing to help (I just assembled the monitor and I'm a little lazy to open it up again).

Did you find out which does what? I would like to know as well. Which is the LVDS to replace?

I purchased another main board + psu + lvds cables from another person, turned out to be the lcd panel itself. Too expensive to get a new one
