Strange reaction after screen replacement

Cracked screen replaced. No home button issues and Touch ID works fine. However there is a huge delay getting into most applications (most the time) and while using any IOS applications. The strange part is that the delay is not there in any of the downloaded games or apps, just apple stuff. Why would the touch screen work fine for only some things. I read a few forums and the even tried to use recovery as somebody suggested. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
