as long as i got my old logic board that is "married" to my mother board then i can replae the bd-rom with any bd-rom that is the same as the one i got, right?
if im wrong tell me what i need to do?

if you are thinking about keeping the logic board from the old drive and replacing the logic board on the new drive, then Yes that is the way I have done it but only a couple of times on other equipment for as long as the drives are the same (identical).
