Why am I getting these octagon shapes behind my screens it don't matter if I'm watching a movie or playing a game we're looking at pictures they're just getting brighter as time goes by is my tablet going down or what

Tony Rector sounds like the backlight LED's are giving you issues. Replacing the LCD should fix this. Use these guides Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 to work on your tablet.
