unresponsive broken power button

I have a 6th gen kindle paperwhite. tho recently it has received some water dmg. The device still works but i found out that the power button doesnt work anymore. How do i repair/fix it??

It is unlikely that there is a specialized store that can repair it tho

I also found out some time later that the only way i can switch it on is to connect with my computer and it seems that when it is connected, there's a system bug that makes my computer mouse become erratic.

idk weather its malware but i have already did a system scan on my computer and kindle. It only starts aft i connect my kindle which received some water damage when i went out overseas. My kindle became erratic since that water damage. tho. Eg, power button menu being activated (the hold power __ sec), constantly auto restart , book doesnt save my last readthrough

Naeem Knighteem I don't think this is a "there's a system bug". All your symptoms point toward your water damage. I bet you have plenty of corroded components inside your Kindle. You will have to disassemble your Kindle.This video should come pretty close to working on yours. Clean all the parts with 90%+ sopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. Focus on the circuit board and its connectors You must remove the EMI shields on the board to clean everything. Look for missing or burned looking components. Best would of course be to have it professionally cleaned via ultrasonic cleaner. Once it is properly cleaned, replace the battery then reassemble. Only then can you do a proper troubleshooting.

Is there another source i could get the parts??

I have checked but that site would have cost me a lot.

The shipping fee cost a lot more than the cost of the product. which is unrealistic too, i live in singapore and it seems it cost a lot to send here

Naeem Knighteem Oh I am sorry I did not mean to make it sound like you have to buy a battery from there. I just referred to the video about how to disassemble your Kindle. You could always check Alibaba.com Ebay.com or Amazon.com or any other site for a battery.
