My car shuts off on me here and then especially when my ac is on first was because my battery terminals were loose so I got someone to tighten them for me and my check engine light went off a couple of days later the check engine light appears and my car shuts off on me for the 5th time it turns on now but won't drive more than 20mph something is sucking the energy from my car and I don't know what it is

I would take it to an Auto Zone and get a free computer diagnostic so you at least have an idea of where to start looking.
