Missing black lines, improves after cleaning only temporarly

Hi All,

my brother printer doesn't print black or only very little. If i run the cleaning program it is improved for the next 1-2 pages but then it returns to very poor print results.

I tried cleaning uncountable times, power purges from the maintenance menu, changing cartridges and so on.

What could be to cause of the problem and possible solutions?

I got the printer from someone who mistakenly had a black cartridge installed without removing the sticker that enables air to flow into the cartridge.
