What does 'couldn't load XPCOM' mean
screen went black. Had turn off manually. Turned back on and could not connect with internet and got the couldn't load message.

Couldn't load XPCOM Firefox How to Fix Firefox Error when Mozilla Firefox is unable to open and give you error message Couldn't load XPCOM. The only solution to fix this error is to Complete Uninstall delete mozilla firefox entries from Registry, and c drive and then do a fresh Install.

Did that and still could not load and as Firefox is Default Browser - cannot connect with the Internet with Chrome and 'God forbid' Explorer or in any other way I tried

It was also the newest version of stupid Firefox - the last two have been a nightmare also - almost on a par with MS updates. Both these companies now are now exceeding their capabilities and should leave programming to the experts
I could not agree more! I have had such an awful time with FIREFOX on the last updates! It's horrible. I am getting this message also no matter WHAT I DO! I feel your pain. So tired of it.

Then I just tried the first method of running the Firefox installer again and Firefox ran fine.
