Keeps turning off when starting to dry clothes

When I turn on the GE Electric Dryer DCVH680EJ0WW, it will run for a few minutes and then shut off. What would be causing this? We have tried different heats settings, different type of loads and it happens. Everything else works, plugged in and vent clean.

I just got my new washer and dryer and washed some clothes and put them in my new dryer as in just delivered today. The dryer turned on for few seconds and turn off. No matter what the settings it would not work. So now I am at the laundry mat drying my clothes. Can anyone guess how mad I am....

Have a 2 year old GE stacked washer/dryer (Laundry Center Model GUD27ESSJ1WW) retail $1500, 12 month warranty. With full load dryer stops after 5 minutes. Won’t start again till cools, but eventually will run and dry load. Runs fine empty or with very small load. It stops on timed dry and sensor dry. 8 failed service calls. First repairman said it was the exhaust. Had it redesigned- didn’t help. Dryer stops even if exhaust disconnected, so problem in machine. Two people replaced timer; didn’t work either time. One guy replaced blower motor, nada. Bloomington IN. Everyone who has come has given up. I’m tired of throwing $80-100 trip charges at people to not fix my 2 year old, $1500 machine. GE said out of warranty, not our problem, but when pressed they said for a mere $800 they will replace. Not in the budget. Suggestions welcome.

@drweldon sounds like a a faulty thermistor/thermostat. Of course, you also want to try to pull your dryer away from the wall, take off the exhaust vent hose, then run a load with the heated air just going into the room. If it drys good, then the issue is in your vent tubing in your house. You also want to make sure your motor is not clogged up with lint, causing it to overheat and shut down prematurely.

Item number 505 506 and 507 are the parts in question. While I am still trying to find the right tech sheet to assist you in the diagnostics, it might help if you post some of images of your dryen with the back cover removed. For that use this guide iFixitでの質問に画像を追加する方法
