I just replaced the cracked screen using ifixit complete screen kit, went great, however, now when it powers up I am getting a Temperature and Thermometer graphic on the phone? Any ideas?

Do you mean this one, the one with the front camera and sensors pre-installed?
Sometimes you get poor quality replacement small parts on these all-included screen assemblies. They can cause excessive current draws, which would manifest itself by shorter battery life or excessive heat. You can test for this by disconnecting the Front Camera & Sensor Flex to see if the problem goes away. If it is bad parts, contact iFixit support and they will make things right. (You can also put back your old screen to see...just don't forget to disconnect the battery first!)
IMHO, it's always better to retain as many Apple original parts as possible. It's more work but you have better components. Aftermarket Small Parts, such as cameras and whatnot, have a tendency to be low (or lower) quality.
