I changed a broken screen out on a Samsung Galaxy S8 plus after changing the screen all functions worked well except the charge. when ever i try to charge it is says charging paused battery to cold. I have tried changing the charger flex and a new battery . it still says charging paused because the battery is to cold. where is the components that detect battery temp ?

After looking at the phone closer I noticed a little tab sticking up in the middle of the wireless charging flex.
Upon looking closer it appeared to be a thermistor . Finding the wireless charging flex was the biggest problem. Most sites did not carry them. Finally found one listed at Global Direct Parts but showed a back order status. took a couple of weeks to get here but the part did the trick. Problem Solved!! For any of those interested or in a similar spot the part is called a NFC and Wireless Charging Flex for a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. Have not opened a S8 yet however I would imagine the layout and function would be the same. Don't know if I applied excessive heat or the glue was thick in that area but will move a little more carefully on the next one myself. Thank you Keith

I had this problem twice still dont know a trick yet. I do think is going bad because of the heat... be careful removing back glass. ebay has parts search for s8 plus NFC .. note 8 nfc or s8 nfc and you should get the wireless charging nfc antenna. good luck.

I can confirm I just had this issue but phone said "too hot". I had loosely assembled the phone without the wireless charger flex installed to test the screen. once I put everything back in place properly it charged as it should.

Hi. I had the same issues with some s8 phone (8 and 8+). Some of them got back working but the last one gave me troubles. For 2 weeks i have tried to change the charging flex, battery, screen. nothing made it word. I was trying to look after solutions, and i found something interesting. I just assemble the the phone with screws and problem solved for me. It is maybe like for some acer laptop models where you need to put the screws so it can charge the battery. I have another one now (s8) with the same issue. Came is into our repair shop, charge it, put it on a heat plate at 90 degrees, change the screen, plug it to charge, boom, battery problems again. I assemble again the phone, phone is charging great. I hope will be an extra info and hope you can fix it. Thanks KEITH for the post.
