Connected, but no sound. Works well with a wire though...

Happened one day - the sound just disappeared. I used them with my iPhone and macbook pro. Everything used to connect and work no problem. Now they do connect and make the sound (booting sound) but there is no other sound coming out when playing music. Also when I click the play/pause button on the headphones the iphone seems to lag and then freezes the control ability of volume and play/pause buttons on the headphones. Super weird. They work just fine with a wire, so I am suspecting a blouetooth issue. Please someone help me. Can I somehow replace the bluetooth? Any help is appreciated.
