3 iPod Syncs but Hangs on "Okay to Disconnect".
I have a 15GB iPod 3rd Gen. When I sync it puts the songs on the iPod. When it finishes it says safe to disconnect but then hangs and wont reset. It also wont update and hangs on the update as well. Any Ideas?
Clayton Little is this Says "Do Not Disconnect" is not seen in itunes.. the same iPod? It syncs now or is it a different iPod?

Its a different iPod, Same model same generation just different ipod.

How did you do the reset? you tried a hard reset? Start by toggling the hold button a couple of times. Connect iPod to the Apple iPod Power Adapter, and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer's built-in FireWire port, not your USB. then press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons until the Apple/iPod logo appears. Let us know what you get.

I did the full reset on the ipod (play/pause with menu) and that doesnt fix it. Ive tried both usb and firewire. It still hangs. I think the drive is bad because when I put that drive into an identical ipod it does the same thing.

It's clearly the drive, likely bad sectors at a critical spot. Did you run it through the apple diagnostics?
To get into diagnostics and run a hard drive test
To enter Diagnostic Mode: Reset, at Apple logo press and hold "Previous", "Next", and "Play"
