Battery Replacement from "OEM replacement"

I recently replaced an old battery that had well over 1200 power cycles on it. I came upon finding an "OEM" replacement on Amazon and purchased it. After installation the battery showed 50% charged which I hear Apple does do their batteries, so I figured it was authentic.

After doing a complete charge and drain for battery calibration, the attached image shows something odd... It seems like it already had lost 7.8% of it's Design Capacity but charged above 100%...

Another thing I had noticed was that under the Battery Info... it shows that there is a battery failure.

What should I do? Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

The Mac hardware itself is pretty accurate when it comes to discovering issues with the battery . If there really is an error, I suggest trying to get your money back on Amazon.

I'm currently in the process of doing another drain and charge calibration. I might do this a couple more times just to make sure. But your input was very helpful. Thanks!

Battery drain won't help in this case.

You need to reset the SMC and zap the PRAM.

These types of batteries actouly to the oposite effect when you fully discharge it especially the first few times kills your battery as you said about 7% or more.. making the batery last shorter with less cycles before fully killing it from 400 to 600 cycles about. I forgot the corect termenology but look at it as killing the battery cells by draining it has nothing to suport the cells making the few on top die. Suggestion is always keep it charged beetween 25 to85% battery charge fir good health.
