iPhone 4 touchscreen broken and need serious help!

Ok so here is my issue. I ordered a iphone 4 color swap kit to change the color from black to white. this required tearing the iphone completely apart and putting it back together. I ordered it from zeetron and they also have a step by step video on how to do this. I followed the directions step by step but my touchscreen does not work. theirs power to the screen but the screen is unresponsive. long story short i tore this phone apart at least 6 times to look for any loose connections any screws that are missing. I got nothing. i watched the video over and over and do not understand why the screen is unresponsive. I even put the old digitizer and screen back on and this is the same except it wants to slide to unlock, it jerks over but wont slide all the way over so i cant get into my phone now. zeetron wont answer my emails i need some help please!!!

not completely sure but maybe you damaged the connector while installing the new conversion kit assembly?

@Mike D I was doing A color swap for my iPhone 4 and when I put the screen together it gave weird colors so I took it apart again and it is giving me a 1000 lines I can't see a thing;(( Its my second screen my first had lines on it also...guys Please HELP

I'm not completely sure what could be causing this problem for you. There is a possibility that the parts you have gotten are defective. But not likely both being defective. Maybe you've dirtied the connector with oils from your fingers or possible damaged the connection on the logic board. Try gently cleaning the connector on the logic board and the LCD assembly with rubbing alcohol using a q-tip or similar. Let it dry completely before reconnecting. Also check to see if the flex cables appear damaged in any way. And if all else fails; you can send it to me and I'll take a look. I'm in Denver, Colorado so you'd have to ship it. How could I see if the flex cables are damaged? Did I have to bend the LCD flex cable a certain way? I just put them in and if the logic board is damaged would I need a hole new mother board?

@Mike D is right. When you push the two flex cables through the tiny holes at the top (One for the Digitizer and the other for the LCD) and wasn't pulled through enough or was pulled TOO much. And then your cable got damaged in the process.

This is an LCD that I bought. It is the OEM original product from Apple and has the new Proximity Sensor in the final production line that is now out. This is an AMAZING deal this guy is great! I highly recommend him.
