I replaced a burned DC in-jack but now I cannot get the screen to come on when I start the laptop. The hard drive turns on and it does not appear to be a problem with the back light. I'm pretty sure I knocked something loose but I can't figure out what.
I appreciate any help. Thanks.

Looks like you'll have to open it up and look to see if anything's loose.

I agree with rab, the things you should be looking for are the display data cable, the inverter cable, the airport antenna cable and the microphone cable as these are the four cables that come from the display.
