Why won't my laptop turn on?

I've been charging my laptop for hours and yet it remains dead and will not turn on.

It seems like you may have either a bad charging port, bad charger, or a bad battery. Refer to the troubleshooting guide to further investigate what the actual issue is. Run through each step one by one to figure out what is the broken component
