Reseting my tablet to factory didn't fix my problem.

I did the factory reset, but I get this:

This device was reset. To continue sign in with a google account that was prevoiusly synced on this device.

I have attempted to log in with my current Google account info, but it doesn't work, apparently it's not what I used. This tablet was lost for 18 months so there's no telling what I originally used.

Is there a way to completely clear this to start with a fresh Google account?
