Why wouldn't my phone turn on until I plugged it into my PC

My Zte Zmax Pro was on the charger and was charging before I left it about 3 hours later I came back to my phone and it wouldn't turn on no matter how much I held my power button. When I plugged my phone into the computer it turned on and showed 100% charge and a notification with Android System something should I be worried
