This could be as simple as your control not properly clothing or opening the valve on your heater core , to a malfunctioning and leaking heater core. Also make sure you do have enough coolant in your system. Your cooling system might need to get flushed and/or bled. Again there are multiple things but I would start with the fluid, check connections of the hoses, check the heater core. Good luck and let us know what you find.
