Why is my finished soda flat?
I followed the steps and noticed that my soda is coming out flat.

We quit using the sodastream because the fizz was gone. You didnt' answer the question above, why is this happening? It didn't last but a couple of months. Can you give me an answer before I throw it out.

I'm in the same boat. Sodastream stopped working after 6 months. Would like to know what the problem is and how to fix it. It's an expensive toy if it has to be thrown out at this point.

You have to exchange your c02 cylinder for a full one. Either that or buy the equipment to refill it yourself like i do.

I installed a new CO2 cylinder but I’m still not getting enough carbonation. Does the machine itself eventually break down. Or could the new canister be flawed?
I did the same thing after successfully using machine for quite some time.
New cylinder, same result.
I tried 2 new CO@ cylinders in case one was flawed, installed them properly, had very cold water in bottle also installed properly, pressed 5 times, still no carbonation in the water. It worked for about the first 6 months and now nothing. Very frustrating
We purchased sodastream for christmas everything is brand new we tried to press 1 second multiple time as per the instructions we also tried online advise 2sec pumps multipe time the water does not carbinate, absolute piece of crap. Taste like a flat rootbeer.

Make sure you are using water and not previously flavored liquids. If you would like extra fizzy soda, begin with carbonated water.

If I’m using carbonated water what’s the point of buying a sodastream
I can see the gas going into the bottle of cold water. I press five times. The machine and cylinder are new. No fizz. Very frustrating. This is the second one I’ve tried but no improvement.
I am having same issue, brand new machine. Using really cold water, pressing 5 times, check tank install. Still not carbonated.
Have used the Soda Stream for months with no problem and all of a sudden, no carbonation. I can see the gas going into the bottle but the cold water is flat. No instructions on how to fix the problem
I have the same issue, mine worked fine for 3+years then just stopped working. Replaced the gas with a genuine gas, it appears to carbonate, if you hold it down long enough it it hits the bypass valve etc but no gas at the drink.
When looking at some YouTube videos for the typical fix https://youtu.be/st4d6drjVeE . I didn't get the backpressure of gas out the back, only a slight hissing noise.
I tried in on a mates Sodastream that was working correctly and there's had a fairly large rush of air (like in the video).
I guess I have a blockage which is too stuck for the gas pressure to dislodge. I'm yet to disassemble mine to look at the issue but thought I would post here first.

Buy a new one at a thrift store. I’ve found ones with full CO2 cylinders for $5-10!

Same problem....I've got a brand new carbonating canister & ice cold water...pumping at least 5 times....no fizz whatsoever ....

I also have this issue. New canister did not solve the issue. I am doing everything the same as before without getting carbonation.

Mine has never worked well, since new. No bubles like the Soda Stream posters in store.
My old glass bottle one perfect every time.
