iPhone 4 not responding to anything. Hard reset doesn't work, nothing.

Hi my iphone 4 recently just stopped working, it was on about 90% at the time. It wont respond to anything when it's not on charge, hard resets, you name it, i've tried it. Its just a rather expensive paperweight.

When i plug it in, and i press the home button it comes up with the low battery symbol. (black screen with a low battery symbol) then after about 5 seconds or so it goes to the apple logo as if you had just turned it on after a full shutdown. it does this for a while and then goes back to the battery symbol that i outlined earlier. it loops this infinitely until I take it off charge, where it turns into an expensive paperweight again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Best guess is you have used up every ounce of life that battery has. Try a new battery in it

multiple issues cause this. here is a list, and remedies to them in order of likelyhood

1) Bad battery: Your battery is likely draining at a rate faster than it can charge. Replace.

2) Bad charge port: Your charge port may not be giving current to your battery. Replace

3) Bad power button flex: Your power button may be shorted, making the device think someone is holding down the power button at all times. Replace.

4) Bad mainboard: Your mainboard may not be properly processing the current it is receiving. Mother board replacements are rarely worth the repair, though you may replace this to fix the issue.
