Not booting after resetting the BIOS to defaults using F9

I was trying to install a new Windows 7 OS from a bootable USB to my Asus S56CA Ultrabook this was due to the previous OS being a mess, the factory restore partition was corrupt so this was my only choice.

I was unable to boot from USB so started looking in the BIOS to enable USB legacy support, however, I could not find this so decided to reset the BIOS to factory default using F9

F10 to save changes and exit, the device now fails to start, I get the power light but nothing on screen, I am now unable to get back into the BIOS or anything?

I can hear the hard drive wearing initially but no HD activity that I can see, I have connected an external monitor in case the screen has gone still nothing.

Anyone had this problem?

Is the screen connected to the mobo or gpu?

Also go back in to the bios and check that your boot order is correct and ahve it boot from the OS hdd.

Conor has a good point. Check to make sure your HD is selected as the #0 (or 1st order) in boot priority and see if that works.
