What is the label shaped white strip on the opposite end from "home"?

iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi & cellular

I had 16 GB iPad, no white strip. Now I've seen three 128 GB iPads for sale that have the white strip primarily visible from the back.

Is this acceptable, refurbished, specific to 128 model? Don't dare buy one till I can figure out what this is and if it's a long term potential problem.

Thanks for any help with this!

Are you talking about the Cellular antenna cutout?

WiFi Only model

WiFi & Cellular model

The Space grey model has a black cutout. In either case this is normal
