Is Factory Reset method with paperclip in hole easy fix?Buttons no go.

Found Answer to Factory Reset to use paperclip -in- hole directions. But that was for off-brand tablet's Factory Reset. I need the paperclip-in-hole factory reset steps for AFTER GETTING TO RESET SCREEN if paperclip gets there. So need help with specifics for RCA 8 Apollo Android 4.2 tablet so I won't be stuck as I am with non-working power/ volume button pushing. BUTTON PUSHING hangs up with the RCA two dog logo OPENING but then goes dark or shows RCA letters while hurting my pressing fingers.

I found that Ifixit.com Answer, but those directions cite "click on 'personal'" from home screen "Settings" is for an 'Enmatic"'tablet reset, and I don't remember "a personal" choice kind of step. And I can't get into home screen to click Settings in the RCA Apollo.

I fear that after pressing with paperclip I may again get stuck not opening Reset Tablet steps if I use 'Enimatic' tablet reset directions. I need a proper Factory Reset to make this RCA ,tablet like others that are reset, fixed, wiped out forgotten password I put in back in late 2014. Help,
