My phone turns off by itself any time of the day. Sometimes it starts using the power button. Otherwise, I have to plug into the charger to start. Also, note that phones battery is fine because that is already charged when I plug in. I think it has some hardware issue. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

@aag110 , ahmed , You can try a soft reset, press and hold the power button, from the options choose power off and then tap OK, wait a few seconds, now hold down the power button again to turn the phone back on(may have to try a couple times). If this is not working proceed to below(factory reset).
A lot of forums state to hard/ factory reset your device to fix this type of issue. In doing so you will loose all data that is not backed up.
Factory Reset:
-If the display is off hold down the power key to switch it back on.
-Then go to settings and then to backup and reset.
-Now, tap factory data reset and reset phone.
-Next, choose erase everything, ((you will clear all your data)).
-Select OK, to confirm reset operation.

yes also have sony AX1 which suddenly started doing that about 24 hrs ago. Factory reset done but didn’t change anything. Only way to switch it back on is to plug it to charger and then start it.
Still on warranty so will be contacting Sony

my phone got fully charged and all of the sudden,it went off,and refuse to turn on

I have the same problm with my sony xperia xa1 already reset it...but keep on doing the same thing...

My phone is turning on and off when it's charging or when it comes right off the charger does it have to do with the charger

I have the same issue. I think Sony when it come to the mobile technology, they are very behind. It is only name that they have, as they spend a lot of money on advertisement. Otherwise, once it is known issue, they should have stepped up on the plate and come up with solutions. Never will I recommend anybody to purchase Sony products.

I have sony xperia z5 and always keep restarting. Battery problem, overheated. Maybe it because the cpu to hot. That make battery like $@$*
