Can't save pictures on photo app

Hi, the problem is that every time I edit a picture and try to save it through the factory installed photo editor app on my phone i get a notification saying I have to grant permission. I went to settings and click on the the app and try to access the permission tab on the app there's no option to grant permission. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Please help
