My phone is not showing thumbnails

I have recently bought a BLU Diamond phone. I transferred my photos from my old Samsung phone onto my computer, and then onto the BLU Diamond. When I went onto gallery to look at them, the picture is black and says "Cannot generate thumbnail." Please help. Thank you.
