What's the Pinout to go from the camera's 6 wires to the POE Cat RJ45

MY Lorex LNB4321 camera stopped working, it had gotten water in the cable connection and the female RJ45 molded end had corroded away. I called Lorex but they wouldn't tell me the pin out to replace the end. I know the red and black go to the power plug but I need to know the which cat5 wire corresponds with the wires from the camera.

(gray, brown, purple, blue, orange, yellow)

David, what camera do you have. The pin outs are different. But if you need to kind of know what to do if you have the correct pin outs I will be glad to help.

I reverse engineered the plug from another working camera with a continuity tester. The connection for the Lorex LNB4321-C is:

Camera Cat 5-6

Gray<------------> Brown/white

Yellow <---------> Blue

Orange <--------> Green

Brown <---------> Orange

Purple <---------> Orange/white

Blue <------------> Green/white

Red <---> Power Plug

Black <-> Power Plug

Blue/white and Brown are not used

Thank you so much. Your pin-out worked for my LNB8111-C camera. Except I doubled up the BRN+BRN/WHT-> Grey and the BLU+BLU/WHT->Yellow because POE uses pins (4+5) and (7+8). So basically I used the cables you had left over.

さんによる

Hello Alvaro, can you explain what you mean by "doubling up" on pin 5 and pin 8?

さんによる

Add a jumper wire from 4 to 5 and 7 to 8

さんによる

Thanks very much!!! I recently bought and installed the newer Lorex N841A8 4K NVR system with 8... E891AB cameras. One was damaged because I didn't properly protect the connector. It rained and shorted the female connector end of the camera. I called Lorex who promised to send an email of the color coding, I'm still waiting to get that! I searched and found your post, tried it and with fingers crossed it took just under 1:30 seconds for the camera to come back online. WORKS FINE!!! Thanks again!

doubling up.... no answer.... he solved and all the world rest in peace.

What kind of people!

"doubled up".... the new technical language.

Only him know what doubling up means!

After 3 of my cameras LNB8005-C falling victim to moisture failure in the RJ 45 connections I finally tore one of the female connectors apart to repair them using ‘jelly beans’ connectors. 6 conductors in camera cable below the 12 volt plug in, yellow and grey are using 2 pins each. See photo below. Hope this helps someone else.

Color - Pin

Brown - 1

Purple -2

Orange - 3

Yellow - 4&5

Blue - 6

Grey - 7&8

No it doesnt help. I was given what looks like a reg sec camera black with "amaqua motion sensor" written on it. Its back and has no shade cover over the top front like most cameras. It has a solar cell looking protrusion from the top that has a small screw open part and it accesses a very small chamoer likeely not big enough to splice in. six wires exit the camera, the screw cover has a round and a square hole. I have motion sensors if needed and solar cells if needed, batteries too. in the very back a screw in hole with no access about 3/8" diameter. Color matching says nothing to me and im an electrician. I need to know what the wires should go to and i can work out the wires that go where once I know what it had. cant find the exact showing all info but one pic only had a solar panel on top but nothing further. "Not used" isnt accurate as they have a function i may or may not use. Without knowing my system and my system I get zip from ur description.

I am not trying to insult you and I appreciate ur out here trying to help people with something I'm sure you have spent of time and frustration figuring out. if ur lucky and someone has the same system type and accessories with same wire colors then ur method could help them but it just isn't a way that will help most people out. Just advice sir. I'm stuck on the same thing as you and urs is working and mine isnt so thats saying something. i have a degree with electronics but ive yet to try to just work the wires back like ur buddy. im 1 1/2 hr in and a wiring diagram makes a short inspection and a few glances then i can find and add and wire it all. usually 2 searches max and i see what im seeking but not with this one. lol. Well. Thanks for ur generosity of time. Be well.

David, that is a very sweet and expensive camera. It should still be under warranty as it has a 2 year warranty. So you definitely need to contact customer support.

The problem with the pinout is that the camera is so new, I have not seen any pinouts for this yet. And because it is motorized I would imagine all the pins might be in play. Which is different then most of the others I have seen.

Our problem is rust or corrosion on the contacts. I find it hard to believe that could happen so fast to a camera that is really built for the outdoors. If it is corrosion on the cat 5 end. That can easily be replaced with another connector as the pinouts are all standard. Definitely gets tricker on the other end (camera end). One thing to try is to put vinegar in a glass and disconnect the cables and soak the connectors in the vinegar for an hour or so. then use a very small brush (childs toothbrush) on the contacts. rinse them off with clean water, let them dry…perhaps a light coating of wd40 and retry them. Mine were so severely corroded that I had to replace both ends. And then I put electrical tape over the connectors and dropped them in a plastic baggie. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any question.

I have similar problem with my Anlapus PoE camera. It stopped working and when I checked the cable, there was no continuity from the camera terminals to corresponding RJ45 pins. I got more curious to open up a balun-like enclosure close to the RJ45 input jack where I found out it had some chips and other components some of which were faulty. I also discovered unusual cable colours from the camera to the hardware thus:

Red, Black, Purple, Blue, Green, White-blue and White-green.

Does anyone know what signals the three unusual colours carry (Red, Black and Purple)?

Hello everyone, I have seen a series of UTP cables for Dahua brand cameras that use the following combination:
