What component or piece should I replace on my iPod Classic?
I have an iPod Classic of 80gb, purchased in 2007, that only works if I plug it to the wall or if I connect it to the PC. When I have it plugged in, the battery icon shows that it is fully charged, but if I unplug it the iPod shuts off and does not respond.
If I put it in disk mode (pressing the menu + play buttons) and I connect the iPod to the wall, the battery icon shows the lightning bolt and seems that the batery charges, and after for a few hours it works without plugged in, but after a day the same problem returns and the iPod only turn on if I plug it in. When I plug it back into the wall to turn it on, the iPod asks me to select the language, as if the settings had been restored.
By the way, the battery is not original, two years ago I had to replace it because it was broken.
I need help because I'm not sure if the iPod problem is the battery, the logic board, or what is the problem.
Sorry if my english is not good, I do not speak english very well.
Thanks.

@siva87 definitely start with a new battery. If nothing else it will provide you with a known-good point for any further trouble shooting.

@oldturkey03 Thanks for repling.
I think I will start with the battery first as you indicate, although I will take it to a technical service because I do not dare open it by myselft.
