Why won't it turn on anymore?
It started out that it wouldn't spin the disks then it just shut off and now it won't even turn on, when you hit the power button the red and green light flashes but it won't turn on. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

What is the model number of your DVD player?
Try disconnecting it from the power, wait for 5 minutes and then reconnect it to the power to see if this has reset the player?

If you are particularly adventurous open up the case and look inside. It is likely that your main power board (or more likely the capacitors on the board) have failed.
