Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E530

The ThinkPad Edge E530 by Lenovo is a business market targeted laptop. This model has a 15-inch display that has HD+ Antiglare LCD, up to 1TB or storage, max memory capacity of 8GB, and a 720p HD webcam for video conferencing.

Replacement for DC POWER JACK HARNESS PLUG IN CABLE FOR LENOVO

My wife's Lenovo Edge 2 laptop fell off the table while it was charging but there was damage where the power cord plugs in. When I took the bottom of the laptop off to inspect the damage, somehow the wires that connected to the female piece of the plug were all severed. Do you know where I can purchase this wire? The label on the wire says: Wistron LC51 DC in cable.

Hi,

Here is a link to the service manual for your laptop, (although I think that you probably won't need it). I hope that this is the laptop that you are referring to.

Scroll to p.44 to view how to access the cable. It is part of the procedure to remove the systemboard.

This is the part No. for the DC-IN connector cable, 5C10H91237, taken from the service manual.

If you search online using just this number, (nothing else - no Lenovo, no DC-in cable etc. it will skew the results if you do) you will get suppliers of the part.

Here is a link to just one supplier. It is only shown to give you an idea of the cost. There are others if this one doesn't suit you.

Thanks jayeff! I ordered the part you sent me the link to on ebay and got it yesterday. Unfortunately, it was the right part but it wasn't the one for my computer. HOWEVER, I spliced the working end from my broken piece to the one that you sent me, said a prayer, and IT WORKED!!!! My wife's computer it up and running. Thank you to all who responded to my question.

Interesting that the manual is for a Edge 2 15 but the part is for a Flex 3 1570. Perhaps they use the same part for different models, unfortunately not yours though. What is the exact model number of your laptop? I just searched for Edge 2 and got the result I posted to you. Apologies for the trouble it caused you.
