iPhone 5S displays grayish hue.

I have done many iPhone repairs but this one has baffled me to the core.

The picture below shows the original cracked screen that was displaying perfect color before removing, but now showing very gray and not clear, I tried an aftermarket screen and it just stays black. I have tried everything! It is 100% seated correctly.

Completely baffled to why this is happening, any suggestions?

UPDATE:

Even weirder, the colors goto normal when you turn ON Invert Color option in accessability. and they are negatives when invert colors are off.
