laptop turned off while working and now is dead. Logic board problem?
So, I have a macbook pro mid 2012. Two days ago i was working and it suddently shutdown. The macbook was charging and i remember hearing a small noise one second before it died, it was like a clicking sound coming from the charging port.
After it shutdown i tried to turn it on again and nothing happened, i tried to reset the smc and it didnt work, the laptop was dead
At first i thought it was a battery problem, my battery is old and and it doesnt hold a lot charge so i bought a new battery thinking that a new battery would solve the problem but no, it didnt work.
It simply doesnt turn on, i tried to make it work with the new battery, with the old one, without battery and only the charger and nothing happens. Everytime i click the power button nothing happens, no sound, no signal, nothing.
One interesting thing is that when i connect the charger it stays green all the time, it doesnt matter if i change batteries, the magsafe indicator doesnt change and also the battery indicator shows full baterry (all leds turn on) when the charger is connected but it doesnt show any battery when the charger is disconnected.
Ive been reading a lot of info about it and it looks that the logic board might be the problem, I've cleaned the logic board and checkec all the connections and the result is the same.

So, the Macbook died 5 days ago. Today I came from school and I push the power button and it started!!! Now it's working, not signals of malfunction, it working perfectly. I'm so confused about the situation. What could have cause the situation in the first place?

I guess it needed a holiday ;-}
I would strongly recommend you get into a habit of backing things up as it could decide to take a more extended holiday next time.
