My S6 edge gets super hot

it gets super hot and the screen is blank but you can feel the heat rapidly moving from the power button all the way through the device....... O.,k. so here is what I have tried thus far. when the phone was first dropped the screen went black and so I naturally assumed it to be a bad lcd or digitizer. I at the time ignored the heating issue thinking it was just part of the damage. so I replaced the screen and nothing. I took the new screen back off and put it on a friends phone and it worked great and then i took his screen and put it my phone and nothing..... So i thought it has to be a mother/logic board issue and you can still see the burnt area near the power button where it ( and i am guessing) shorted out. So hopefull it was a power button issue i took it out cleaned it up and put it back in... nothing. Now I am certain that its a mother board issue...but giving one last check i took the phone by its side and banged it directly on the power button against the edge of my desk and walla the phones screen came on to the stabut at least i now felt like the mother board was good. I next ordered a new power button replacement and just finished the install and guess what? nothing no screen zippo zilch. i plugged it in to its charger and the same heating issue, only this time the phone gets so hot you almost cannot touch it. My thoughts are the connectors that give the power button its juice from the battery is the problem ... however I wouldn't even know where to start to see if one of the capacitors is bad. So I guess my next question is my galaxy s6 edge toast? Can you guys Fix or t

Repair a mother board?

This is normal... If you plugged the phone into the charger and it gets burning hot, probably because of the quick charge. Go to settings-->Battery, and untick the enable fast charging.... Should be okay.

IF your phone also gets burning hot while normal use, this is not a good sign after all. Your phone may die because of the massive heat, because phones don't like high heat very much. Better do a backup asap and take it back to Samsung and get a replacement (If the warrenty is not expired/voided yet) OR buy a new one. Except you know how to teardown and apply some thermal paste and see how if works.

(Sorry for my bad english)

Hey there! English was great! Problem is I get no picture....the screen is blank. I can tear down and disassemble the phone without issue. But have never attempted thermo paste.... Again, the run down. Phone was dropped. At the power button the lcd eventually went out. I replaced the lcd...no luck. Next I put a friends screen on my phone and it didn't work either. (Although it still works on his.) I then installed a new power button. Still no luck but! The screen came on to the start up point and then went blank again..

Is your phone's screen connector is dirty ? Grab a rubber, rub it. But do you damage something while dismantling the phone?

The screen has never worked since it was dropped, I think you might be looking over the fact that the only reason I replaced the screen was because the original was in about 150 shards after it was dropped. THEN, after that, I tried turning it on and nothing but blazing heat coming from the point of impact. ...

So the screen should be dead, there may be some short circuit so it gets blazing hot.

Maybe just replace it just fine, but if digitizer is damaged, I've no idea about it.
