SRS light is flashing

The SRS light in my 2000 civic EX flashes while driving. This flashing is not consistent and has no pattern. It's a manual transmission. And is sometimes coupled with an occasional rotational knocking or clicking coming from the front (passenger). right side. Not sure if I have two separate issues or if they are connected? Ideas?
