Why does my phone go on and off alone

when i turn my phone on, it actually boots but in the process it start shorting down on its own and then then on and the process continues on end like that. how can this be resolved

Did you try to do a factory reset by booting into recovery(turn off phone then power+volumedown) and use the volume and power keys to select wipe data?
