Hinges became unattached from screen. ASUS can't fix it.

After just over one year and a half of use, my G750JX laptop started presenting some weird wobble when moving the screen up and down. It wouldn't stay still when the screen was upright. It was as if the hinges were loose. I contacted ASUS about this and I was told they didn't have the pieces to repair it. So I was on my own. I tried to open the screen panel to see if I could do a quick fix to avoid problems in the future but I don't have the tools to unscrew some weird screws.

Later, one day while opening the computer, a loud snap came from the computer and what would you guess, the hinges were now completely separated from the screen. They still work, and if I hold the computer by the hinges I can still open and close it relatively safely, but if I don't set up something to hold the screen it can fall backwards and separate from the hinges. It seems to be safe to leave it resting when falling towards the keyboard, since the hinges catch it.

ASUS keeps saying that they don't have the pieces and that I am basically screwed.

Is there any way to fix this? From what I can see when lifting the screen panel is that I could somehow reattach the hinges to the screen but I'm too inexperienced to know how to do it safely. I considered putting some welding points on it at one point but I wouldn't be surprised if that fried the panel.

Any help is appreciated. The computer has been on this state for over 4 months at this point and is basically unmovable.

Thanks in advance.
