I've managed to kill my S5 but before spending on a new screen, I want to make sure the phone is still functioning. I have an old S3 and S4 - can I use the lcd's from either of these phones to test my S5? Are the connections the same? Will this allow my S5 to be tested?

@bigphilly71 those will not fit and that will not work. Only an S5 LCD will work for your S5. The main clue would be how you killed it. There is really no other good way but to replace it.

Thanks. Managed to drop it and smash the screen and bezel quite significantly. Still turns on, makes start up noises and top blue led and menu and back buttons light up. Fairly sure it's just the lcd, but hope I could prove it first. Never mind, have to get one. Many thanks for the answer.
