2 White vertical Lines on edge of screen, unresponsive on touch
A few months ago, my screen shattered and I decided to replace it by myself. I bought everything and all the right tools. I was able to replace the lcd and screen and the phone was brand new again, apart from the fact that the body of the iPhone was a little bent. However, the phone worked perfectly. Yesterday I dropped my iPhone from waist height and it was nothing major. It fell on the top right hand edge of the screen and there were no physical damages. However, once I turned on the phone I saw that on the right of the screen there were 2 vertical white lines. I had previously encountered this before when I replaced the screen so I knew that it was the flex cable not fully connected inside the phone. I opened it and cleaned it out and reconnected it and turned it back on but nothing changed. The screen works perfectly apart from the last 1cm on the right of the screen which has the lines and it is unresponsive to touch. I checked the flex cables and I didn't see any tears or pinches and I cleaned it with with a q-tip but it still doesn't change. I reconnected it at least 10 times and it was always the same. I am not sure if I can replace the lcd flex cable since it is attached to the lcd. So is there anything I can do to fix it or will I have to buy another whole screen?
