Hey, my battery is bad and im now looking to buy a new one. But there are so many listings on batteries on the net, im wondering how do you know if the battery your buying is a geninune samsung battery with the advertised capacity of 2550mah?

Generally they will actually say samsung on them where as the knockoffs will look exactly the same just with the name missing. Can I ask what makes you think your battery is bad? Even the very first S6s shouldn't be seeing battery issues yet unless theyve suffered some damage. Also, if you're experienced with opening the S6 on order to do this repair, may I very highly suggest you order yourself a new glass back for the phone along with your battery. Almost everyone breaks that glass the first time

People break the glass back when opening? It's like opening Sony Xperia Z3 back cover in my opinion.
Ill have to be careful when opening the back. Ive had my S6 now for a year and my battery discharges veryfast, like yesterday i noticed when i was at 3% of battery and plugged my charger it jumped right to 7%. and i dont even get 2 hours of screen time anymore.
Ben, in my two years as a mobile tech can honestly say I've only one time laid eyes on an Experia. I just had to YouTube a teardown to see what the back looked like and you're right, they're very similar. However, I'm also guessing by the link for buying the replacement part in the video that people sometimes break those too haha. But I think your point was that an experienced tech should have no problem keeping the back intact and I agree
