Red light blinking. No display

Hey David,

This is called the Red Light Of Death...Meaning that the solder under the GPU chip has either failed, or the GPU chip is bad. You could take it to a shop that reflows BGA chips, but that is a hit and miss. It could fix it, or it will fix it for a short time and it will fail again.

A new GPU would be the best fix, but they have not been available for a long time now, and if you do find one...It's hard to tell if it's actually new or not and you will be stuck back in this position again.

You may find videos on Youtube on how to fix this with a heat gun....They are BOGUS repairs.
