Why can't I get the last two screws to go in?
The last two screws on the bottom near the hinge won't go all the way in? All the others are perfect. Any ideas?

Go back over the guide to see if you installed a couple of shorter screws into longer holes.

No, they are identical, the longest of the lot. They only miss by a little, like they have bottomed out. Tight, but not all the way in. I tried getting the blue Locktite off the screws to see if that would help, but no.
Please check the guide you used and the length of each screw (they are all listed). Use a millimeter gauge if you have one. Trust me, You have used shorter screws than required somewhere during your reassembly.
From the guide:
"Four 16 mm Phillips along the hinge.
Two 12 mm Phillips screws on the Aluminum bracket at the top of the memory compartment."
All the rest are 3 or 5 mm. If I had them swapped, I would have had to put a 16mm in the 12mm hole in the battery compartment.

The reciever
holes on the top case may be bent, blocked or stripped.
These two screws go to hold the back of the top case check the clearance and those tangs.

Top case, where the keyboard is? I won't be able to get to it until later, but I will pull that off and check.
