Why is iPod not turning on after screen repair?

Replacing working but shattered screen on an iPod 5th gen. Followed guide at iFixit it and have done this before but this time there is no signs of life.

Before putting the screen back on I turned it on and no signs of life. I've tried home and power, charging it, putting it into a computer and it doesn't register or charge. There are no rips or anything in the cables as well.

Is there anything else I can check or do?

I've already have another screen on the way.
