Why won't the iPod charge
the battery was completely empty. I put the ipod in the cradle but the ipod has not charged.

It could be one of a few things:
-Shot Connector (in iPod)
-Shot Cradle
-Power source that powers your cradle is not powerful enough
Troubleshoot your problem by trying your iPod on a different power source, or a different iPod on your cradle.
