frontpanel doesn't fit! too much space around!+

Hi There,

As you know ive got a Ipod touch 3rd generation. the frontpanel was broken so i've order a new one through the internet. I have seen the guide on this website about the Ipod touch but i don't have a fronpanel with an edge around it like on one of the pictures! mine is just flat:(

below you will find some pics to explain what i mean.

The front panel is new. the button and that piece of metal was attached to my old panel.

as you can see there is an edge around it! my panel doesn't have that!

When i try to fit the panel into the ipod, the space around it is too big so dust will come easily! please people help me.
