Mii Channel not Working

The Mii Channel does not work on my Launch Day Wii. I have researched the problem online, and the problem seems to be with the Flash memory. Do I have to purchase an entire motherboard or is there another part that I need to fix my Wii? Maybe that isn't even the solution to my problem. Nintendo repair is the option that most people recommended, but my system is obviously not under warranty any more.
