Bottom portion of touchscreen barely works

So i replaced my screen last night and everything works perfectly. Even the touchscreen works fine except for the bottom portion. Its the keyboard area that doesnt work properly. It will work but most the time when i click on a letter lets say i click on the letter "d". Most the time it wont even click on the letter d it will click on any of the surrounding letters and it will type atleast 5 of them. It will let me type fine for about 5 seconds and then it will either hit another button or it wont at all i will have to hit it about 3 or 4 times before it registers. Is my screen bad?

Also I did update and restore my phone with no results.

I just purchased the entire LCD, screen digitizer, camera kit from iFixit.com and everything is fine on it accept similar to the above person the very bottom of the screen is hard to get a response from. I have to click several times on something before it finally recognizes the touch. Did I get a defective unit or is this just a poor quality OEM replacement?

Sounds like a bad digitizer Shea! It's possible the connection is bad though - try cleaning the pins conservatively with rubbing alcohol and reattaching the cable. Because these connections are wider than their predecessors, I connect one side at a time and then press the middle down last to hear the faint snap. If you're confident in the connection, I'd order a replacement!
