Hi Gregory
Your microphone will not work anymore because have been in contact with water.
Sorry to say but you need to repair it or get new device.

Could try the old rice trick.... put the phone in a bowl of rice and pop it in the airing cupboard overnight. Might be a bit of a long shot, but worth a go.
