need more information.
did it fall?
was it water damaged?
were you using an original charger.?
what happen before it went dead?

my iphone 4 was dropped and it immediately died, music stopped playing, i tried pressing home button and power button at the same time but nothing happened, when i muted it, no vibration and i got the battery changed but still dead
